Julie had plenty of time to paint during the pandemic. She would start two paintings at once based on the same subject. This helped her keep momentum with painting and also helped create variations within the same subjects. She found inspiration from previous trips. This painting is based on a photograph she took on a road trip in July 2016. Julie and her husband stopped here at Georgetown Lake, Colorado off Interstate 70 to stretch legs and absorb the beauty.
